I wanted to create a look that was super glam and very prom appropriate. I also think that this look would be pretty easy to recreate! You just have to be patient and be sure to blend!! It’s definitely something like what I will be doing on some of my prom clients for sure!
Mac Fix +
Embryolisse Moisturizer as a Primer
MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC20
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20
Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in Almond
Benefit Bronzer Hoola
MAC MNSF Give Me Sun
MAC MNSF Light
MAC Blush Margin
NARS Highlighter Albatross
For the face: we want to make sure that we prepare the makeup to last ALL night. The MAC Fix + should be used at the beginning and the end. It will sandwich the makeup in and really help not only the skin feel good but the makeup stay put! I also layered cream and powder products to help the products last longer as well. Prom is known for lots of pictures so the more you define your face, with highlighting and contouring, the better your pictures will look. Flashes & HD photography will wash you out, so it’s okay to go a little bolder than you normally would!
For the eyes: I really only used 4 colors on the eyes. 3 colors in the crease and the one sparkly shade, kitten on the lid! Just use the browns & blacks to build up your crease but you must be patient! SLOWLY build up color and blend as you go! This is the trick to eye makeup. Too often girls pile on tons of black in the crease and just leave it there. This will make you look cakey and your eyes look small/washed out. Building up color makes it look beautiful and makes it look dramatic without being overdone. Then just do your eyeliner however you want (wings are always more glam!) and pop on some lashes w/mascara and you are done!
*Note: I hate my eyebrows in this look, please forgive me. We are fighting with each other and they are being so rude about it.
Hope that was helpful, it was so much fun to create this look and makes me so excited for prom & wedding season!
